We offer counseling services for individuals, couples, and families. We are Lubbock’s only multi-disciplinary group practice which means we have a diverse group of counselors with various specialties. When you call our office, you will be matched with the therapist who best fits your needs.

At Journeys Counseling Center we know that counseling is still attached to stigma and it’s still very much an unknown to many people. Most people who contact us are nervous and not sure what to say or what they are looking for. Hey, we get it and we are here to help you understand all things Counseling related. From how counseling works- to the cost, and we will walk you through this new Journey. Counseling is our JAM! Our office staff and counselors absolutely love what we do. We want you to feel comfortable and know that no matter what you are going through or how “crazy” you think you are, we are here to go on your Journey with you.

I graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Masters in Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have 10 years of experience working in various mental health settings. There are many reasons people seek counseling. I believe an enhanced sense of self understanding and acceptance is essential including understanding how past experiences have shaped the way we view ourselves. Each individual presents different and unique counseling needs and issues to the therapeutic process. Therefore, I believe there is no approach that may work best for everyone. I utilize integrative and evidence-based models that are based from cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, developmental, and trauma-informed care approaches. I have experience working with children and adolescents ( ages 5 and up), families, college students and couples. I believe the counseling experience should allow individuals to explore new ideas and gain a sense of understanding by enjoying their unique and customized healing journey in a safe, non-judgmental and comforting space. In my personal time, I am committed to spending time with my family and friends, church activities and events, and exploring different areas of self-care practices.
