Kristi Hosek, MEd, LPC-S & Owner of Journeys
Life can feel debilitating at times. Sometimes even the smallest daily activities can feel so overwhelming. Often, it is temporary stressors that cause us to feel out of control. I believe that by learning how to regain control of your life, you will move forward with the ability to face whatever comes your way.
I believe the most important part of counseling is a genuine connection between a therapist and client. You need to feel comfortable in counseling and be able to trust me. You need to know that I genuinely care about you and that no matter what we talk about, you can trust me to hear you. Counseling is very individualized, and we focus on whatever you need. Some days that means doing intensive work utilizing CBT skills and some days it is simply talking about how to get through the day. Whatever it is, I will do my best to support you and walk that journey with you.
I use modern techniques to make counseling interesting and yes…FUN. We might watch movies, listen to music, or go for walks. I try to keep counseling interesting while making progress in your specific area. I have 16 years of experience in mental health and have been in private practice since 2010.
Outside of the office, I spend my time enjoying my family and trying new things.
