Kari Flory, Graduate Student Supervised by Jennifer Adams, MS, LPC-S
I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges in a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment. My desire to become a counselor stems from personal life experiences that taught me the value of having a safe place to process difficulties, gain insight, and feel genuinely supported.
I believe every person has a unique story shaped by their experiences, relationships, culture, values, and life circumstances. Because of this, I approach counseling from a collaborative and individualized perspective. Drawing from person-centered, cognitive behavioral, strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches, I work alongside clients to identify strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and self-esteem challenges. I am especially interested in working with women and children while welcoming the opportunity to support individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds.Clients can expect to be met with empathy, authenticity, and respect in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Together, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable while developing greater self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, and increased confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, participating in church activities, connecting with others, and expressing creativity through a variety of interests.
