LaKeisha Williams, MS, LPC Associate, Supervised by Luke Oaks, MS, LPC-S
I graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have eight years of experience working in various areas of mental health including working with victims within the criminal justice system.
I believe that life does not pick and choose who it happens to, but we all have a choice in how we respond to what life throws our way. While everyone’s journey may look different, we all have areas in our lives where growth and healing are possible. I recognize that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to counseling, and every individual has unique needs.
In my work, I utilize Person-Centered Therapy to ensure that you feel heard, valued, and supported in the counseling process. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals explore new perspectives, develop healthier thought patterns, and improve daily functioning. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming environment where you feel encouraged to grow and empowered to find hope and healing.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church, and going on outings with my children. I also love reading—especially true crime books.
