Serena Mangano, LPC Associate Supervised by Christina Goff, LPC-S
I graduated from Texas Tech University with my Master of Education in Counselor Education (Clinical Mental Health Counseling), and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, working under the supervision of Christina Goff, LPC-S.
I know from experience that a mental health professional’s point of view is valuable and needed at all times, whether we think that everything in our life is going well and we have everything under control, or we feel that we don’t have a way out and are stuck in an unpleasant situation. That’s how I see counseling: a collaboration with a professional that will help you (re)discover who you are, your strengths, and the areas in which you can grow.
In many cases, we have many answers hidden inside, but don’t know how to uncover them. If you allow me to work with you, we’ll find those answers together, in a rewarding self-discovery journey. In addition, through counseling you’ll learn healthy coping skills that will make your life happier and more enriching, even at times of difficulties.
My approach is evidence-based, and integrates cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, trauma-informed therapeutic approaches from a developmental framework. My overarching perspective is existential and humanistic, as I’m motivated to focus on the person’s growth, development, and improvement as human being.
Thank you for reading about me. I hope we can work together, and look forward to meeting you.
