Anna Word, MEd, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked with a wide variety of clientele across many different settings. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, as well as families and couples. My experience over the years has allowed me to support clients that deal with issues relating to relationships, abuse, anxiety, depression, bullying, domestic violence, parenting, substance abuse, and life transitions.
My goal as a clinician is to empower clients while they work to improve their lives through active participation in the healing process. I strongly believe that counseling relationships are built on empathy, understanding, self-awareness, and accountability. I strive to understand my clients’ situations and provide them with the tools they need to improve their lives.
I have an eclectic approach to clients based upon each individual’s needs for support. This simply means that I use a variety of techniques and skills to focus on what each individual needs in counseling.
